Virtual Canoe Trip
We hope that you have enjoyed your virtual canoe trip in Algonquin Park. If you viewed the slide show only, you may wish to take a longer look at the self-guided option, as there are more than twice as many pictures, most with more text. It provides a more in-depth coverage of what an Algonquin Park canoe trip is really like.
The Portage Store would like to acknowledge and thank
LIANA MIGLIN & RICHARD ROLLINSON
For the excellent photographs that comprise our virtual canoe trip. Many of the other photos in this web site were also taken by Liana Miglin and the Portage Store again acknowledges the excellent job she did and thanks her very much.
Please note the following:
- The canoes, tents, packs, food barrels, cook kits, water filters and most other pieces of equipment where obtained from the Portage Store and accurately portray the equipment available from the Portage Store. Some smaller, more incidental pieces of equipment where personal items provided by the participants.
- The food utilized on this trip is similar to but not identical to the food found in our Complete Outfitting packages. Certain items where provided by the participants. It does demonstrate that people can eat very well on a canoe trip, either utilizing the food we provide or bringing their own.
- While this group comfortably completed this trip in the 4 days, some parties may find this to strenuous to enjoy. The exact distance you should plan to cover depends on a number of factors. We recommend that you consult us or other knowledgeable parties before setting out on your canoe trip.
